I just returned from Vancouver, British Columbia! What an amazing trip. A few months ago I was feeling nervous about international solo travel and the Global Scrum Gathering conference, wondering if I would be too shy to meet people or my knee too stiff to do all the adventuring I wanted. But I overcame both of those things and had a fabulous time!
I walked almost 15,000 steps my first day, navigated trains and buses, and even took a catamaran whale-watching! I visited two gorgeous world-renowned parks and amazing art! I witnessed a marathon! And I ate lots of fish & shellfish.
This post would be extremely photo-heavy so I made a Flickr album. In fact, starting this blog has made me rediscover my appreciation for Flickr. Definitely view the captions which have a lot of links to more information on the artwork, gardens, the marathon, and more. A lot of the time I captured a statue or mural that I found interesting and only now that I’m home have I had a chance to read about the artist and traditions around the piece.
This trip made me feel more confident and excited about my trip to France with Aimee & Crystal next year. I can’t wait!

That is so exciting to know your trip turned out so well and you thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, I am headed to your Flickr photos now! The photos you included in this blog are terrific and intriguing. AP
